The throat chakra governs communication, the throat, ears, the thyroid gland and metabolism. is the center of sound and vibration. Collectively, the condition of the four lower chakras (heart, solar plexus, sacral and root) and the two upper chakras (third eye and crown) determines our vibration and resonance and creative potency. What is within you, emanates from you and is drawn to you.

As we move up the energetic column, the energy becomes less dense and more subtle. We can clearly see that earth contains (root), water flows (sacral) and fire burns (solar plexus). We can see and feel the effects of air when it blows; but it isn’t actually visible. Without the use of technology, we cannot see the motion of sound; but we hear it and can feel the vibration. The throat chakra takes us deeper into the realm of trusting in what cannot be seen, but can be felt. When it is out of balance, there is a lack of creativity, inability to communicate clearly and tactfully, a silencing of one’s self, secrecy, vulgarity or pathological dishonesty.
